Christmas, birthday and New Year is over for another year. So many parties and dinners, so many opportunities for dressing up, so much booze and food. I hope you had a happy break. I'll be back this week with the first of a few hair tutorials, yes, they're back. Let's go 2015.

Lime Splice

It's sticky hot here at the moment, bundles of sunshine and humidity. I'm totally not complaining - it's so easy to get dressed! Nothing says summer like a cinched waist, cotton 50s skirt and bright bangles, does it? I spent Saturday having lunch on a rug with some lovely ladies, and a gaggle of geese.

Why hello there? It's been awhile, hasn't it? But I am back! Astin and I went for an amazing dinner at Steel Bar and Grill on Friday night. Veal Cutlet and Valrhona Chocolate Delice went down just perfectly with my cocktail! Talk about a celebration of better health!

Happy Birthday Me!

I've been having such a marvellous time celebrating my birthday, I've barely been online I know. In the past three days I've been to pancakes with 15 dearests, been drinking with 6 dearests, been to high tea with my dear mum, and had spaghetti from a can for breakfast (kind of my favorite breakfast ever...)

And I was kind of spoilt rotten as you can see. Thanks friendlies and families! Don't you love the felted rabbit ring holder? And ring from Astin Kirby is even inscribed with a date, '12/25/31'. Someone's Christmas present in 1931, marvellous! I've also got some pretty nighties, which is something I always appreciate.

Christmas got by as good as it could, thankfully. I only have family pics so I will spare you those, but I was in a very, very cute 50s backless halter dress :)

Right, off to watch Sherlock Holmes and eat another tasty treat that Jen of Pretty Little Pictures baked for me ;)

A cold, chocolates and a cuppa

I’ve been so busy this week – four day weeks are like that, aren’t they? Suddenly you have to do everything you normally do, but with less time to do it. Almost doesn’t make that extra day off worth it. Almost.

Just thought I’d share a piccie . You see, something so lovely happened to me yesterday that I can’t stop smiling. My darling best friend had some lovely chocolates delivered to me at work. So sweet. It even had a Where The Wild Things Are card to accompany. Gosh it is lovely to be loved.

So signing out, with my cold, fragrant Earl Grey tea in my T2 oversized mug (a steal at $22!), my favorite cook book A Second Helping: More from Ladies, a Plate and delicious Bon Bon Fine Chocolates. Yum!
