Mean Reds and gold jewellery

Thanks for the well wishes recently guys. I am on the mend slowly and focusing on looking after myself for the next few weeks and learning to slow down a bit. Truth is I've also been feeling The Mean Reds. If you've ever seen Breakfast at Tiffany's, you'll understand. But for those that haven't... "The blues are because you're getting fat or because it's been raining too long. You're just sad, that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of."* Anyway, rather than hoping in a cab to Tiffany's, I know wearing some cute jewellery always helps me feel a bit better.

I don't know why I haven't one of these posts in ages, as I love wearing jewellery so much. This 30s locket is from Jean Jean Vintage. The cute little house by the ocean scene is sweet, and there's argyle print on the reverse. The scottie dog bracelet is a gift from Astin. She knew I was looking for one for awhile, and happened to spot it on ebay. I have a soft spot for scotties, they're cute, stubborn, intelligent, and generally good companions. And I think people in the 40s agreed!

Love WTP x

*You know, it never dawned on me until recently that what Holly Golightly is actually describing is an anxiety disorder. I used to think anxiety disorders were a 'modern illness', the effect of too much, all the time, but clearly, they've been around a very long time.

Glad to hear you're on the mend lovely lady!

The weather looks like it might be a bit rainy this weekend and I'm thinking it'll be good excuse to watch Breakfast at Tiffanys again. :)
