Close up

It feels only right to acknowledge what has happened to my beautiful city this week, yet I cannot say anything that really does it justice. It was surreal. We will heal. We are a nation of battlers and mates, and we have a young spirit as a nation. We are resilient and optimistic. When I went into the city the day after, I noticed that it was quiet, but also that everyone was a little kinder, a little warmer. It was reassuring to know that we will be kind and open, even despite what happened.
This is what I wore that day.  It didn't feel right to go in a cheery Christmas ensemble. And yet still, I love this outfit. I feel like a mega babe in this, especially helped by my great Dita Von Teese bra.  My new vintage brooch I found on the weekend was just perfect for teaming with this look... and it was only 50c. I love it when that happens.

Wearing...
The Original Bad Girl Vixen top in black, Old Faithful 50s skirt, Mimco Abacus sandals, ASOS New Look large buckle belt, Anthropologie earrings, Vintage sunglasses brooch
