Take off: holiday packing

Oh yes, it's that time of year. Christmas rolls around, the sun shines (or if you're in the Northern hemisphere, the snow dumps, the wind chills...) and you decide to escape somewhere glorious. Or perhaps you're travelling to visit family. Packing can be stressful, but to ensure a stylish and relaxing holiday, I have a few essentials I never leave home without, even if it's just for a weekend...

Luggage and tags...
Tags are especially helpful if you're flying. You don't want all your beautiful vintage in your case to get lost, do you?

A stylish robe and slippers...
There is nothing more uncomfortable than staying away from home and feeling like you can't take off your clothes and just lounge about at the end of the day. Throw on a beautiful robe and coordinating slippers and your hostess will appreciate your style (and decency). This is also great in a hotel room for feeling at ease or if fellow travelers decide to pop by your room for a nightcap. If you're flying, you can even put the slippers in your hand luggage. It's so lovely to slip off your shoes and into some slippers in those teeny seats, and especially nice if you decide to get up and walk about.

The Darling slippers, $42.95 and Darling robe, $79.95 from Ada & Darcy

Glowing skin...
Do you get all dried out and bleary on planes? I do. I used to get off looking a sultana... Not anymore since I discovered Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. It creates a barrier that keeps my skin moist, even in an air-conditioned environment. It's also soothing on sunburn, windburned and cracked skin, so you will find it is a winner in your bag. Get the 50ml tube for convenience sake on any flights.

Cleaning kit...
I dunno about you, but looking wrinkled, stained or just generally not feeling like my clothes are fresh is what makes suitcase living feel so sucky. Pack a travel cleaning kit for your clothes, and you're set!

The Laundress travel pack, $59.95, from HardtoFind

Shower gel...
Ok, I know I sound nuts packing shower gel. Whether you're with family/friends or in a hotel, they have soap and body wash. I get it. But having a beautifully scented shower gel that doubles as a lush bubble bath mixture is a great way to unwind and treat yourself.

Rose Jam shower gel, $9.95, from Lush Australia

So that's my packing list. What are your travel essentials?

Love WTP x

All products mentioned here are just things I picked because I love them, the companies are in no way affiliated with me.
