Ooh La La Sydney Soiree outfit

Omg, this week kind of flew, can't believe it's taken me this long to post. Forgive me gentle reader. I have to admit, I didn't take photos at the Sydney Ooh La La event simply because I was too busy having a vintage perve fest at the people around me and chatting over sweet things and a tipple. So after I got home I had to really quickly snap my ensemble because I love this dress so. Please excuse my belly full of scones and sandwiches and bubbly.

This outfit didn't quite work the way I thought it would though. You see, I really wanted to wear it with my Sophia Webster Paint it like Pollock heels, but then I put them on and remembered they were probably designed to cripple you. So despite my urge to have a Miss Frizzle moment... I gave up and went for my comfy shoes. Which are also beautiful, no doubt about it, but didn't quite get me to quirky teacher inspirational heights.

Wearing...
RetroFit Vintage 1950s Suzy Perette dress, Wittner heels, Asos belt, The Vintage Drawer 50s Lucite earrings, Allen Company 1960s velvet clutch.

P.S. If you love this fabric as much as I do and have a 25 inch waist, you're in luck. An unlabelled dress in the same fabulous print is available here. If you love the cut of this Suzy Perette dress, then there's this dress in black.

Arrrgh I wish I did have a 25 inch waist - the dress in the matching print is a pretty agreeable price! I love this dress - it's the perfect Christmas print without being obviously so and the cut is wonderful on you.

I saw some photos from that event ~ it looked like sooo much fun! One day I'll be there too! But in the meantime, wow that print! The cut! Everything about this dress so cool, and a very elegant version of Miss Frizzle! :P ❤
