The Happening Stuff

Here comes Santa Claus

Here comes Santa Claus,
Here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane,
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
Pullin' on the reins.
Bells are ringin', children singin',
All is merry and bright.
So hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus,
Here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane,
He's got a bag that's filled with toys
For boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
Oh what a beautiful sight,
So jump in bed, and cover your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Well, Christmas is drawing closer, as is a new year, and I’m frantic! (So good this time of year, isn’t it?) I had all these grand plans of posting pic upon pic of outfitty goodness, but the reality is I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time.

So, just random pics from the events that have come and gone:

1 & 2. David Jones window display and Hyde Park tree. 3 & 4. Summer 21st party with fellow blogger LN and the birthday boy. 5. Salvation Army band in Pitt Street. 6. The Harbour Bridge on Friday Evening from the ferry after dinner with LN.

I'm sure you'll notice above that in two of the photos I'm wearing green faux fur. I love that outfit but apparently some girls who catch the train at the same time as me everyday (and evidently didn't realise I was walking behind them) didn't. They wondered whether I had ever read a copy of Vogue, and if my grandmother minded me stealing her clothes. Aren't some people nasty? Just because they don't have any green fur to parade around in... And yes, I have read Vogue. And yes, I like how I dress. I'm pretty proud of how I dress. Before I embraced how I dressed, I just stumbled around lost trying to find clothes that didn't include a muffin-top, but that still suited me. Nothing suits me like vintage clothing and styles, so who are they to judge?

On Saturday Cam and I did some treasure hunting…. Here are my cool finds!

1. Rose clip on earrings, red $6
2. Rose clip on earrings, pink $6
3. Silver chain with circular metal work design and dangling fish $15
4. Red snakeskin bangle with 24K gold plated details made in Florence $10.
Picked up at Neutral Bay.

Much love,
WTP x

Oh, and on the note of – ARE they kidding me? Check out this Oroton Bag. Anyone paid that much on ebay?

What on earth? You always look so glamorous and gorgeous! Here in your green fluffy cardi and necklace you look especially fetching! Pure jealousy I say!! Far out! Really, their comments mean less than nothing - ignore them.

I love your collection of out and about piccies here - makes me excited about Christmas seeing DJ's and Pitt Street Mall! ...and that last photo of the ferry - stunning! Have a lovely week!!

Hello, my goodness, you have a beautiful blog :) Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog, its nice to know there are people around to help with the big move.

I can't believe those horrible people talking about you like that! I hate it when people talk about someone they don't even know!

Well, maybe we can catch up in Sydney sometime and parade around in our vintage finest :)

To Sam: Awh thanks Sam. Sometimes I honestly don't look glam though. Today I swear I looked like a drowned (sweaty) rat! Christmas is only, what, a week away? So many more festivities to come. I'm off to church, and I'll be sharing pics of a gingerbread house very, very soon!

To Louise: Thanks! I love my green fur cardigan.

To Pretty Little Pictures: Thanks for dropping by. I'm more than happy to help - I know it must be daunting :) And parading around in our vintage finest sounds like good fun!
