The Modern Flapper

I walked into a restaurant the other night in this outfit to a surprised look from my dining companions. "That's not your usual style?"

And they are entirely right. But sometimes I like to play around with shape and fit and style, and this is one of those dresses. Shift dresses and I aren't friends. I'm too hour glass for a shift to ever do me justice, but a swing dress? This swing dress is figure friendly. I love the fact it's made from scuba fabric and mesh, and the hem line dips at the sides, and yet it has clean kind of deco lines to it. And it goes so well with my Sophia Webster heels. They are the best. I'm a huge Sophia Webster fan, I've got two more Sophia Webster pairs up my sleeve to share with you.

ASOS airmax swing dress, Net-A-Porter Sophia Webster Rio Sunset heels, Jean Jean Vintage 50s glass screwback earrings

You look fabulous! I'm not a shift dress wearer either but you may have inspired me to give a swing dress a whirl. :)
